Yes, I do "a bit of math", which I why I am very confident in my advice to the OP and also calling out suboptimal strategy, typically based upon misguided perceptions about valuations of points...

QF points are not worth 1.9 cents or whatever some credit card selling blog might claim. There is at least a 20 times variation in their redemption value.

And that's just the redemption value...which is where people mistakenly focus their attention.
