So I'm considering downgrading from JGC Premier to JGC this year. Am I correct that I won't lose anything in the long-run, assuming that I re-qualify for JGC Premier in 2025?
I just want to make sure I don't do something irreversible. My understanding is that if I stayed at 28,000 FOP, I'll downgrade do JGC under the new rules (i.e. I don't even need to get to 50,000 FOP for any benefits, such as a renewal points waiver). Is there any reason at all to try and get to 50,000 or 80,000 FOP, other than the JGC Premier tier itself?
As you have already qualified for JGC, if you drop below 50K FOP, you would retain the benefits of JGC and thus Oneworld Sapphire. If you in 2025 hit 80K you will be JGCP again.
