I am wondering if anyone has flown this route lately with Cambodia Angkor Air. I am flying soon from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh and then taking a connecting flight to Dubai. I booked the ticket with Emirates - one ticket, one reservation. The Cambodia Angkor Air is the airline Emirates is using. I am hoping I dont have to pick up my baggage in Ho Chi Minh before my connecting flight but have been getting conflicting information. I have contacted both Emirates and Cambodia Angkor Air and get various answers from both. Apparently, Emirates does not have an interline baggage agreement with Cambodia Angkor Air. It is a problem if I have to pick up and recheck baggage because I will likely miss my connection AND I likely will have to leave the transit area and go through immigration. I would need a visa for Vietnam. Has anyone encountered a similar scenario?
