Just got back from a 11-day trip in Bergen, Stockholm and Iceland, first time in the region. Not much luxury hotels but the scenery was worth it. Best hotel was probably The Thief in Oslo which I overnighted for a flight next morning.
Honestly, Stockholm has become my favorite city of all time, it has the perfect balance of everything. However, Bergen was truly a feast for the eyes. Did not enjoy Iceland at all.

Going to the lakes of Hokkaido and Tokyo later this month:

-Lake Akan: Akan Tsuruga Bessou Hinanoza
-Lake Shikotsu: Lakeside Villa Suimeikaku onsen (8-room luxury ryokan)
-Hakodate: Kappo Ryokan Wakamatsu
-Tokyo: Hotel Gajoen Tokyo
