I am an AA elite looking to make the swap from Marriott to Hyatt. I had planned to status match and switch after next year, when I would have finished my lifetime status with Marriott. But I have a Jan 2025 trip that I'd like to take at a Hyatt and would get some value for having globalist benefits.

Since it seems that these status challenges come along every 6 months, am I correct in that there is no "cooldown" period? And that going from AA to Hyatt can be repeated when offered?
