ok, so whether for reward or revenue bookings there are some rules when applying a GUF from one person to a booking for other people. this also applies for booking made using 241s where the GUF holder is not the 241 holder and not travelling.

if the GUF holder is not travelling and has not paid for the booking, it is still possible the holder can apply their GUF to another booking. to do this:

1. the account holder for the booking must set up the GUF holder as a third party nominee, and give the GUF holder the nominee password
2. the GUF holder then calls to apply their GUF to the booking, you will need their PNR
3. the GUF holder must clear their own account security as normal, and the security for the booking account holder - so you will need their account number, full name, address, email, and the nominee password
4. the agent will apply the GUF, this may involve having to send it off for a manual calculation of the extra taxes/fees/charges
5. any extra taxes/fees/charges is paid by the GUF holder
