Same ffn when booked vs when checked in/ flown. Some people change ff program to cherry pick benefits.
Airlines charging for seat selection, including business class, getting more common.
So that’s where it gets weird. I was OneWorld Ruby at booking, but lost it shortly after and selected seats after my status had long expired. My paper boarding pass indicates my correct status (no status), but my mobile boarding pass shows an AA FFN that is neither mine nor the purchasing account (different person’s AA FFN that is emerald) and claims I have sapphire status.

Oddly my bag was tagged with a priority flag/sticker so maybe they do think I’m sapphire?
