Here is how I, speaking now only personally, might see things playing out, and again this is in no way informed by any inside intel, it's just spit-balling in the best tradition of FT.

1. Between now and Dec, ready The Bridge for reopening. How much of this is just bringing it back to life in previous state versus making it seem newer (even using some ex-Wing furniture?) is anybody's guess.

2. Reopen The Bridge as a temporary First lounge while closing The Wing First, with a fleet of buggies to shuttle First and Diamonds from The Bridge to the upper gates closer to The Wing.

3. At the same time, suggesting to Diamonds (especially for flights departing near the top of T1) that The Deck is a good alternative for a short stay

4. The Bridge remains running through to late 2025/early 2026, then The Wing First reopens with the mandatory dragon dance etc, and then The Wing Business closes and The Bridge remains in operation as a go-to in the same way as during The Wing First closure.

This could all be quite a long proposition, if we allow even one year per lounge make-over we're getting to early 2027, and if The Bridge is to be resurrected as a temporary lounge, who knows its fate after that..?

All off the above = spitballing etc...
Renovating the Wing seems logical and possible. I wouldn’t be surprised if they rope off the area near the windows at The Pier J again.

However, I can’t understand why they would knock down the Pier. Didn’t they renovate Pier F during Covid? Both F and J has a large capacity and are new. To me the lounging area design is as good as it can get. Hopefully they are tying to improve it rather than designing something completely new.
