I have a question on using seats.aero when searching for these flights on partner airlines.

For example, MEL > NRT is showing as 90k on Qantas, but seats.aero shows that if it is booked on AA directly, its only 40k points and cheaper surcharges. Would I first create and account with AA, then transfer my QF points to AA and then do the booking with AA?
