The value is in transferring the points from Chase to Hyatt directly. If you can use 15,000 points for a $300 night you get 2 cents each. If they room is $450 you get 3 cents.

You wont get that high with the points still in Chase. With the Preferred cards you will get 1.25 cents each, with the Reserve you get 1.5....always
