Per terms and condition it just says return to city of departure but doesn't say airport of departure. Any experiences?
no DPs, but IMO, doesn’t fulfill the terms. Santa Ana is not Los Angeles. Terms specify the insurance kicks in when you depart on a common carrier, making your ‘city of departure’ Los Angeles, and not even your home city. You can always try if needed, but I suspect at best, you’d have to argue your case.

it would never say ‘airport’ of departure - while a common carrier is probably most often an airline, could be another mode of transportation such as train, [GreyHound] bus, etc.
