Hmmm I might go slightly earlier, but there are multiple carriers that fly BOS-JFK for under 100$, its a 50 minute flight. If the flight gets delayed/canx I can rebook that way, or worst case, jump in a rental and drive the 3 of us to JFK and still make the flight (wouldnt dare do this in the morning, but at night, piece of cake). And if the flight gets canx/delayed before we leave to go to Boston, then its an hour shorter drive to JFK.
