End of the day you may find 2xJ cash fares on other airlines (e.g. AY) to be cheaper than one J fare on QF. And those airlines are probably better in J than QF.
I would not purchase full economy - you are paying 3x the fare for the same seat. I would purchase PE if you are happy to fly in PE and see the very very slight chance of an upgrade as a bonus.

We are flexible on our dates a little so am seeing some options for Sri Lankan Mel > CDG. What is their business product like? I've never flown them
