Firstly mindset. Manage your expectations- my grandpa would have said “predictable, preventable but inevitable”. Yes ideally you wouldn’t go through all this but we both probably know full well it’s a large company and it may take several calls from you to resolve. Decide whether youre up for that as you can just walk away.

Assuming you want it sorting, the positive is those points have posted now so everything that is going to happen has happened! I would now try calling the Exec Club again and saying you did pay for an upgrade but it seems its been processed on basis you didnt and now these bonus tier points are wrong and secondly can they think again about the 5k Avios for the bags. I’d say push for the correct TPs but maybe just chalk wait for luggage down to “it’s BA in 2024”.
Yeah I know... glass of wine in hand I'm feeling a little more relaxed now. And for all I know, those extra 100TPs each may not actually make any difference to any of us - but they do bring 4 people a lot closer to silver, so I'm not letting it go. Anyway, they've had a very detailed note from me today, with every email and screen print I can think might be useful. So let's see.

As for the bags... well I've sent them another note on that too, but it's not the hill I'll be dying on for sure.

I like your thinking. Do you think BAH could have processed it as an opup and pocketed my cash? (Yes, joking obviously...)

Well it's more than I'm earning right now for certain But it was a full 2 hours at the baggage belt, not 90 mins...
