I grew up in the sticks of China before coming to the US so I never experienced the luxury side of China but I am planning on going back soon and wanted to see what are the best options in all of China for a month to two month long trip.

Consensus seems to be:
Capella Shanghai
Four Seasons Hangzhou
Amanyangyun Shanghai
Aman Summer Palace
Peninsula Shanghai
Amanyangyun is the like worst Aman ever.

While Aman Summer Palace is beautiful the service, room and food is really bad.

Also Peninsula’s better than Capella in Shanghai
