I'm glad this hotel gets so much praise on here. Since the hotel opened two years ago, I have stayed here more than a dozen times and each and every stay has been absolutely exceptional.
My most recent stay was last weekend for a few nights to celebrate my Indonesian girlfriend's birthday. We received a generous upgrade beyond the usual Park Suite Deluxe to the Park Suite Deluxe Monas View. The only difference between this premium suite and the Park Suite Deluxe is the view, as indicated in the name. I spent a couple hours in the morning every morning working on my laptop in the corner lounge chair looking at Monas (Monument Nasional, the Indonesian National Monument) with a coffee in the side table built into the chair. I get that that's a specific thing to write about, but its probably my favorite part of the Deluxe Suites here.
In addition to the generous upgrade, we received a beautiful customized cake and a rose. I can't imagine all Globalists will receive this special treatment as I have only received the Monas View suite on this stay (special occasion + frequent guest maybe?) Anyway, this was all organized by the awesome Pak Kartiman, the Director of Rooms here. In fact, every senior staff member are present throughout the day to greet Globalists and other repeat guests.
To echo the experience by kingofbeans above, from my very first stay two years ago I have received extremely personalized service. Staff members I have not seen in a long time or not seen before (at least I don't think I have) still address me by name. It's impressive.
For anyone staying here do not miss the hydrotherapy pool in the changing rooms. They are complementary and you do not need to get a treatment. Globalists also get a cocktail hour in The Bar. Finally, don't miss the nasi goreng kambing (lamb fried rice) in the conservatory. Yummy stuff.
In such a competitive 5 star hotel city such as Jakarta, the PH is always what I recommend to friends, family, and anyone else who asks where to stay.
EDIT: I forgot to mention another key aspect of this hotel I appreciate. All kitchens within the hotel are ISO 22000 certified. This is heavily emphasized on the menus in most of the dining establishments. I didn't know what this was before, but apparently it's some sort of international standard for food safety. I am American born but my parents were born in Indonesia, so while their stomachs are used to the food safety standards here mine is not. Because I pretty much get some sort of food poisoning incident every time I come to this corner of the world, I am extremely paranoid about what I eat and drink. PH Jakarta is pretty much the only place where I feel relaxed and will eat anything they serve.
