It has been said for a year that it may not be a hotel in the Marriott chain due to financial settlements with building owner. As you can see, it happened in a flash without any transitional periods. The logo will be a free advertisement for the corporation until the building owners takes it off, I think that is not Marriot's concern.
I imagine the hotel was performing rather well in the past few years (especially very recently with Taylor Swift, my understanding is for almost a week the Marriott proprieties were close to 100% occupied). Do you know if the hotel is open at the moment or actually closed ? According to Google it’s closed.
Presumably The owners must be scrambling to either sign a new agreement with a brand or come up with their own brand?
