Despite my previous experience at the Capella, I checked the rates for an upcoming stay. They appear to be significantly higher than any other hotel in Bangkok for the near term, while offering third night free or substantial hotel credits. Can the hotel really be so popular that it's able to charge room rates that exceed all of its competitors? The other interesting thing is the reordering of rooms...it was cheaper to book a villa than a river view suite.
