Mine seems to think it falls under 'operational reasons' and therefore not covered, but there are other options such as 'airport closure' or 'mechanical or electrical breakdown of the common carrier'. I wonder whether one could argue the latter applies to then get the claim honored?
shouldn't cost you anything besides time/paperwork to file a claim.... once that happens, you'll see if the insurancee agrees with this broader definition or narrower...
