Is this going to be the new standard at AA moving forward? Does anyone know?
It's bad enough that complimentary domestic upgrades are far scarcer than ever before, but not having customer service priority really is a complete dealbreaker. As a free agent I have literally zero reason to attain status anymore if this is going to be the status quo. May as well cut up the AA credit cards and rack up Amex points or some other bonus spending commodity instead.
There is no absence of IROPS. Almost 500 AA mainline + regional flights cancelled today, and 950+ delayed.
Interestingly enough, I flew Delta during their CrowdStrike meltdown and had to call reservations twice. No wait either time even as a non-status member.
