Great one night stay

I was very pleased with my one night stay on an expiring cat 1-4 certificate as a Globalist. Paid rates were about $300 for the night. I was proactively upgraded to a Grand Suite in the Hyatt app in advance of arrival. Early checkin granted at 10am without issue and was aLao offered 4 pm late checkout. Furnishings, cleanliness, hardware and amenities (particularly bathroom double vanity and separate tub and shower) were at Park Hyatt level, but for the number of rooms. Grand Club had a very decent spread (better than anything in the US for sure), including for breakfast. Wine and cocktails are served complimentary during the evening hours (I think 5-7:30pm).

Breakfast is also available for globalists free at the restaurant. I knew about that from this thread and another guest in the GC also told me I should not miss the spread downstairs, but frankly I was happy to drop into the lounge for pre-gym coffee and fruit at 6am and have breakfast at the restaurant later at 10.

spa, pool and gym facilities are expansive and fantastic, with Hydrocircuit, sauna, steam room all functioning and an immaculate locker room. I enjoyed a 50 min massage for about $70.

all that said, I was happy to stay here for just the night before my evening return to the US for the late checkout and proximity to the airport. Uber to any part of the more popular city center ran about $7-$15 and ranged from 20-40 min depending on time of day and where we were headed, so not bad at all. But if you want to stay within walking distance of the action (as we did for our first three nights in BOG), chose something near Parque 93, Zona Rosa or if you’re up for throngs of tourists, but wish to really be in the center of everything, La Canderia.
