OP, did you ask Marriott to remove the 1 night stay credit at Dallas, and get credit for the other nights stay at Nashville?

I recently stayed at a Marriott hotel in Honolulu for 5 nights on points, and paid for a different room for my son, less than the 5 nights. If I wanted the spending credit for the shorter stay room, I won't get the 5 nights longer stay.
