I no longer use Amex and will cancel the card. I have about 200,000 points. Looking to fly business class to Asia from the west coast US or to Europe from east coast US.
BA has a 30% points bonus at the moment but their business class sucks. I do have a lot of Avios points from Qatar Air.
Would I be better off transferring to Delta, Singair or Cathay Pacific? Don't have a lot of points with any of them at the moment.
I've had personal experience with Singapore Airlines when I flew from LA to Singapore last year and had a great experience.
They are also nice because Capital One, Citi, and Chase also have them as a partner, so it's potentially easy to earn additional points (outside of Amex) to top off any reward redemption you have.
HOWEVER, SINGAPORE AIRLINE miles have a hard 3-year expiration date, so I wouldn't transfer if you didn't realistically expect to travel/redeem in 3 years. Good Luck.
