My understanding is: If your qualification period is 01 October '23 to 30 September '24 AND you do 10 flights between 01 September '24 and 31 December '24 you will be EBD for the whole year 01 October '24 - 30 September '25 AND 01 October '25 - 30 September '26. Probably plus 3 months... so up to December '26.
But if you are an overachiever and do the 10 flights from 01 September '24 until 30 September '24, e.g. on the 15 September '24... there is a risk they will only give you EBD for 15 September '24 to 30 September '24 and 01 October '24 and 30 September '25. Maybe plus 3 months, so until end of December '25.
However, they also say they process the upgrade once a month. So it should not be possible to qualify in September and get upgraded right away to lose 11 months EBD. Btw, same for me.... my qualification year also resets 01 October '24. We are very lucky with our qualification year!
