BA Not Paying Delay Compensation & Don't Respond to Messages. Suggestions Please

I joined BAEC last December and well on my way to Gold which I am now reconsidering in the light of BA’s (to me) unacceptable behaviour. My flight back in May from CDG to LHR was cancelled and I was booked the next day. Here are the points:

1. I made the claim for EU261 plus one cheap hotel night and a MacDonald’s meal

2. BA accepted the claim, indeed they were very co-operative and I have an email saying the claim would be paid.

3. End of July still no payment so emailed BA twice to the same address I used to communicate with BA. Both ignored. Double checked Spam.

4. Called BA customer service and got a smarmy agent who informed me that my ‘claim had not been rejected and awaiting a customer service agent to approve’. I was not impressed and the agent repeatedly said there is nothing he can do.

5. I made an online complaint a few days later using the website form stating all the above. Again ignored, not even an acknowledgement.

Given BA has placed me on ‘ignore’ before I take a more legalistic approach which means taking more time, and as I am new to BAEC would most appreciate any suggestions on an alternative approach.

I have to book three upcoming trips and am holding off booking BA.

Advice appreciated. Thanks.
