There's certainly a fair number of GGL's/GGLfL on here who have known the CCR staff for many years so it is a regular occurrence.

One FTr I met several times but a few years ago now and who isn't an active member of FT anymore, used to fly to a European country at the start of the week, returning midweek most weeks of the year and had done for many a year and was very familiar with CCR staff as it was his routine.

So say 40/45 returns in CE at 80 TP's = 3200/3600 and added with quite a few long haul flights he easily achieved the 'old' 5,000 TP's requirement to renew GGL/CCR Card as it was back then.
