I suggest waiting until the end of this year before you make a decision regarding what to do with your rollover MQM‘s. You might have more planned travel than you are currently forecasting, which might put you naturally over PM MQDs without the conversion.

if by the end of this year, you wouldn’t make PM for the entirety of 2025 otherwise, and you don’t think you would naturally qualify with planned travel the first six months of 2025, then it sounds like the right choice for you to do the MQM conversion to MQDs.

I am personally waiting myself until the end of this year to decide what to do with my rollover MQM’s. My travel is impromptu and I can’t accurately forecast now, where I will be MQD wise in December. So I’m waiting until then. MQD’s don’t roll over, so it would be useless to convert if I have already qualified through other means.
