The hotel rectified the communication gap by informing you and renaming the rate. There’s nothing more the hotel should do. Id put this aside and go and enjoy your vacation.
The hotel’s own website has a rate that includes activities, half-board and drinks… So it was not unreasonable to expect that it’s what I was booking on the Hilton website, with a honors discount. Cancelling the reservation and rebooking the same rate on the hotel website will result in additional cost for me as it’s almost 200EUR more per night.
This is a bit like booking business class and the airline coming back to you advising you will travel in economy. Would you accept that?
From a legal and contractual point of view, surely, they hotel and Hilton can’t unilaterally change the conditions I booked.
