I have 25 elite status, my partner has none. Different PNR, same itinerary (international).
I have enough eupgrades for both of us, I would like to use eupgrade + $750 cash (per person) to upgrade from Economy to Business at the airport; can I request whether we both get upgrade to Business or both stay at Economy?

You'll want to speak to the gate agent before they run the upgrades if you want all-or-nothing. I don't think the automated process can handle that, and you need someone to take you both off the list if only one is going to clear.
