There's a flight I want to book in First on BA 268 flying out of LAX on October 11th to LHR at 19:35. I want to book a one-way flight.
I can see the this flight has cash availability in First, but no reward availability for Avios redemption.
It is more than 30 days before the flight takes off.
Would I be able to call BA and get a redemption for this flight in First? I know I have to pay 2 x Avios + fees/taxes.
Would I be paying 170k Avios + fees or 200k + Avios + fees?
Are there any restrictions I should be aware of outside of the cash availability and 30 days limit, I have mentioned above?
Thanks very much
11 October is an off-peak date so would be 85000 x2 for the avios component per person plus the applicable taxes and fees:

Gold Priority Reward always works off the most avios least cash option.
Full T&C's of Gold Priority Reward:

If you're Avios rich and regular redemption availability opens up more than 24hrs prior to departure, there's nothing stopping you purchasing a brand new reservation for the flight you need and putting the original (x2 avios) booking in for full Avios/cash refund minus £35pp cancellation fee. I wouldn't risk this if you're needing to re-use the Avios from the original ticket purchase as there's likely to be a delay of several days before these make their way back to your account.
