I’m currently sitting on A320neo G-TTNH on BA1495, and found on check in that my seat has been moved from 12A to 12B due to the seat being defective.
When I got on board, I found every exit window seat marked and blocked as defective. I’ve not seen this before. Expertflyer shows the same.
Wondered if anybody knew the rationale? I’m guessing a faulty sensor of some kind on the windows and perhaps the MOR requires any seat by the window is kept empty to reduce risk?
Not suggesting anyone has done something against any rules, more of a curiosity as I’ve not encountered this scenario before.
