This thread seems like a good place for this ...

Is there any issue with me and companion arriving at airport separately and checking our bags and going through security separately (as long as companion has confirmation number and ID of course) ? (Companion is actually a stranger, coming from out of town, joining the same wilderness expedition as me, to which starting point we're flying).
