It could be this, but it could also be the app version you have. I have two phones, and have the app on both. One (the older phone which doesn't accept the latest versions) hasn't given me the choice to join any of these challenges in maybe 6 months, whereas they all appear fine on the newer one. So it's a bit of a guess, but it
could be the reason why.
