To provide an update.....

In the middle of the night my Wizzair ticket to LCA was canceled, so there was no longer a chance to connect to my newly booked Eurowings flight from there to DUS.

The only other remaining option was with Emirates for 4100 EUR in business (eco no longer priced out) to DUS.

Since I wanted to position to DUB anyway, I priced that with Emirates and it was 2300 EUR. TLV-DXB with FlyDubai and DXB-DUB with Emirates. That is what I booked. In the end it was the least expensive option. I believe I have gone well out of my way to not take advantage of the situation but still to get to my destination at the earliest possibility.

I even started out by accepting a downgrade to LCC and economy. That option did not pan out. I believe in any court they would side with me. Plus I have dozens of screenshots to retell the story as it happened.

If you think the price is unreasonably, you must consider their duty of care at a minimum. A hotel in Tel Aviv at the moment of any reasonable standard is a MINIMUM of 200 EUR per night x 10 nights = 2000 EUR. Granted, EW might get negotiated rates. However, for that they would actually have to contact me to offer me anything. All they offer me on the phone is to rebook me onto the next EW flight. Probably that will be even more than 10 days from now, by now.

I hope they will not cause me a headache about cancelling their own LCA-DUS flight. I am also trying to cancel my positioning EW DUS-DUB flight I had with them since the beginning for tomorrow, but will totally accept it if they refuse, as long as they pay the FlyDubai + Emirates flight.
