What's wrong with boring? A hotel is not a destination for me. I'm mainly looking for a nice room in a good location, a reasonable level of service, a nice breakfast and minimal hassle. This usually requires a luxury hotel. My definitions of nice, reasonable, etc. seems to have changed over the years.
