There have been reports of TG’s booking engine (weirdly) only offering more expensive fare classes. Have a look at booking through an OTA such as Expedia.
Even with a low cost carrier, flying during this period to CNX is going to be much more expensive than other dates. Also occasionally flights into Chiang Mai airport are restricted due to folks releasing lanterns into the air in the evening.
