I feel very similar. Staying in luxury hotels eventually becomes boring. There's only so much joy that excellent service and beige walls can bring. The experience is what matters.

For me, the greatest joy is Africa. I've booked five different trips this year between: Botswana, South Africa, Kenya, Rwanda, Madagascar, and Seychelles. Next year, I've already booked to return to Kenya and Zimbabwe—I'll likely add South Africa and Tanzania, too. For me, there is no better experience than being surrounded with such beautiful animals in such epic settings.
