I have the following on a combination of metal all on 086 tickets and the earn is not that flash. Booked through travel agent.

ZQN-AKL-SIN-FRA (all NZxxxx flights) $4/12SP+90/120+110/130 (Business). We paid $4700 NZD each for this business class specail which we thought was a steal! Singapore metal NZ3282/NZ3326

I / Agent then have booked seperately on LH, FRA - EDI - FRA (5 hour connection and 7 hour connection back ) as to add this on same ticket was over $2400 NZD pp and booking seperatley it was $1100 NZD total for 2 of us. LH have directly offered us upgrade from PE to Business of $1240 NZD pp for FRA-EDI-FRA-ICN, indicating I can do this directly through my M&M account . . . Travel agent thinks this is a very interseting approach by LH.

FRA-ICN-AKL-ZQN (LH712 then NZxxx flights) 41/50 + 114/125 + 4/11 (PE). We paid $3,700 NZD each for these PE flights and put in for upgrade to business from ICN-AKL which is still pending.


Air NZ just seem to be crazy in the pricing for the add on from any Europoean point of arrival.
