Is SFO same as most airports, where Taxi/Uber drivers are not keen to pickup a 2 mile trip? Would assume it would eat up at least $50 in "savings" if I go that route?
You can use SamTrans bus 292 for 4P SFO. If you do, make sure to get the right direction - downtown SF to the hotel, and Hillsdale to the airport.
Not sure about taxi, but Lyft/Uber rides do go to area hotels; they are pricey (relative to my standards), however. I think my most recent use was $35 + tips to Aloft from SFO in the middle of the night at 2am on a massively delayed arrival (and had a 6am onward flight).
