Points booking or cash booking?
For a cash booking you get a guaranteed upgrade (or compemsation with points if they can't upgrade you).
For points booking any upgrade is subject to availability at check in.
If you have a cash booking then the upgrade will depend on what type of room you have booked. I would wait to see what upgrade you get, before requesting any further upgrade.
If you made a points booking I would be inclined to contact them to see what your options are.
Either way don't expect more than a one category upgrade - it's high season so it could be a bit of a gamble either way.
