Green Dot questions

I had a few questions about Green Dot, I will edit this with answers as I do more research. Don't tell me anything too sensitive. If you don't know or aren't willing to tell me, I'll test it myself and I can report back if you want.
  1. Have people had success buying any type of Green Dot with CC in store, not registering, using them up, and then getting more?
    • I assume the initial load amount is small, but if it's >=500 then that's acceptable to me. Based on the thread and the wiki, I think the initial load and per-transaction limit is 500 on all type including the old one, but I could be wrong/oversimplifying or that info could be outdated.
  2. If no to #1, I can give it a shot and let you know. Would that be helpful? Would it be obviously stupid to even try?
  3. If yes to #1, have people had success just unloading right way, like to CA or something?
    • I've seen people loading CA with Green Dot before, but not sure it is reliable in this context or works without activation. I assume it comes with the risk of funds being locked and then drained by fees.
  4. If yes to #1, can you avoid the monthly fee for the non-"Pay As You Go" version if you use them up quickly enough? I was thinking that maybe this is possible based on this?
  5. If yes to #1, can you avoid the inactivity fee for the "Pay As You Go" version if you use them up quickly enough? I was thinking that maybe this is possible based on this?
  6. Out of the currently-available kinds of Green Dot, I know some can be reloaded (up to $500 for a $4 fee based on the GoBank thread). The GoBank thread makes it sounds like the ones bought in-store can be reloaded, as well as the old GoBank card. Is that right? Can the ones purchased online also be reloaded? Are there differences? There is a note in the wiki from 2019 saying that the online ones are harder to reload, but I don't know whether that's still true.
  7. I know people were trying to load from CA. Did anyone succeed with that?
