Both Hyatt and Marriott have so many credit card and other promotions to earn "elite qualifying nights" (with those programs you really only need 40-50 nights) whereas IHG has none of that.
And I certainly hope IHG stays that way because Diamond means something and needs to be earned (I usually get status on points, not nights). I have had to switch to Hilton this year and I miss IHG tremendously. Don't get me started on the 'lounges' there.
