I haven't paid cash for a ticket in a while, but now I have the opportunity to do it. I know you can't really use both. I read about a potential workaround where you book a regular economy ticket using travel bank, cancel after 24 hours, it becomes travel credit, and then, voila, I could use all $250 for my flight. Are there any red flags here for me? The $50 expires first, but if there is any chance of really messing up the $200 or not being able to do this, I would just use the $200 and forfeit the $50 I guess (there's almost no chance I'd ever use it). Thanks.
You’ll also need to do the same for your electronic travel certificate (book and cancel after 24h) to turn it into a future flight credit. You can’t combine certificates with credits.
