Wheretocredit is correct: you get no miles with AA for an AA ticket being in either J or D (or any other fare class for that matter)... the miles and LP you get are solely a function of the price (excluding taxes).
(With the minor exception of if you bought the ticket as a package deal with a hotel or cruise, where the breakdown of what's airfare is opaque to all except AA and the packager)
