I live in the USA, and I opted for Connectmiles. In retrospect, I have been very glad that I did that. I have maintained *G for the last few years and enjoyed all the benefits. I often get upgrades to business class, and their lie flat seats have proven to be a much better experience than the business class in some of the other US airlines.

For me, it's a no brainer.
