The flight back to Newcastle was relatively uneventful, the crew were hustling with 32 in Club to serve hot breakfast but they got it done in good time. I settled for two cups of coffee!

We landed nice and early but the bags took an age to come through. I’ve now been awake for 24 hours and was almost asleep on my feet as we waited.

Bag arrived eventually and the Uber turned up within a couple of minutes, and now homeward bound.

Thats it for this excursion, thanks as always to everyone that followed along and provided hints and tips along the way.
JapesUK, I have been following and enjoying your trip reports for some time now but have not yet, I think, congratulated you on them. From your earlier Sofia back to backs to this your first TR as a GGL (congratulations btw). Indeed they provide a very valuable insight with new tips for us 'too frequent' travellers and importantly also for those who don't have the opportunity to travel so much.

I have enjoyed the CCR when travelling in F on a few occasions and also once when I was kindly guested in by a fellow Scot who is GGL. While as a GfL now I can always look forward to the F lounge the CCR really is a cut above- thank you for sharing the menus for there. I do think though that things have definitely improved a bit catering-wise in the F lounge at T5, but how I miss the Johnny Walker Blue........

Thanks again for an informative and v enjoyable TR and keep them coming please.

Best regards
