If you (or others) don't know the answer, fine, just say that. You seem to think someone both a) holding an FB credit card (which is quite easy to obtain in the US), but b) not having yet credited a flight to FB is some sort of niche "vortex" in the universe. I think it's actually a pretty obvious use case.
I am not sure whether what other people on FT think on what would satisfy the reqirement is relevant, since it is only what FB thinks matters. I am also in the book that credit card spend should count but that is not how FB works and I can either accept it or not use FB at all. It probably is an obvious use case, and it is based on FBs experiences, why they handle it the way they do. I think if you have an issue with how FB handles it please take it up with FB and not with other FTers. Maybe things will change.

If posters in this forum are weary, that is a 100% self-inflicted wound. Absolutely nobody is required to read and/or post in threads they are not interested in. Though I don't frequent this forum often, I too have my "home" forums and those forums are filled with redundant topics many (most?) of which I simply skip. I answered them for years but now I often let others answer them. Somehow my life goes on. FT is literally made up of mostly redundant posts/topics.

I think that is good advice that you should also heed.

(unfortunately, I can't be of much help there because I don't have enough experience with FB)
When I see people continually complaining that poking themselves in the eye hurts, I often suggest they stop poking themselves in the eye. If they don't stop, then that is sort of on them...
P.S. Should I engage more deeply with FB over time, I'd be happy to share my findings, data points, and experiences with the forum to try and move the collective knowledge/wisdom forward. Ultimately, it would be great if we could crowd source some type of sticky/Wiki/FAQ that consolidates what is known and unknown about this topic. For example. are there alternative ways to demonstrate legitimate FB "activity" besides crediting a flight for those that might have a challenge with that? If ones account or ticket gets "locked" are there known ways/best practices to properly rectify the situation with FB, etc? How do we tie this information and these experiences back to Ben Lipsey, who continues to claim in interviews with the travel media that FB has no problem with people transferring points and booking tickets (seems to be a disconnect with that position and how the system actually works?)
This is a good idea. I think everyone would be less weary if this were to happen. Take the issue you have up with Ben Lipsey. He can actually do something about it.
