So I did what you suggested. I didn't get a confirmation email. But I did save the code at the end of the process on the portal.
Today I checked the case status and it just says 'resolved'. I didn't get an email explaining what I was going to receive or anything. My email was definitely correct, I checked in the confirmation page screenshot. I also checked my spam/all mail etc
Is that abnormal?

Not sure on the process, but if you provided bank or card details to BA, I would give it a few days to see if the money shows up. If after about 10 days nothing, I would chase them.
