Born and Bred is popular for tourists, most locals have never even heard of it (they only that know that restaurant group for their haejangguk, but even then they don't know they're the same company)

Everyone here knows that hanwoo itself is a rip off anyway and you just go to a random local place lol. Hanwoo is expensive "just because." And that sells it. Be fancy, pair it with wine you know nothing about lol. That's the Gangnam way!

To be honest, there are just sooooooo sooooooo soooooooooooo many meat places, that there's no reason to go out of your way to find one. Like Geumdwaeji is super popular, but IMO it's just gonna be meat. Koreans like their meat thick, meaty, and unseasoned haha. Now I love Korean food, been eating it for 13 years, but IMO meat is one of those things that "meat is meat."
