Sometimes I get on these random flights that are somewhere around 40% full. I feel like I've hit the jackpot on those flights. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays particularly in the late afternoon or evening seem to be the best for those. I think those really drag down the averages.
This is the same for lines at the post office or any business with peak hours. The employees see a mostly quiet day but the customers see it usually crowded.
